Rockets guard Rafer Alston pulled a right groin muscle in Saturday's practice and was held out of Sunday's game, the first he has missed due to in- jury since the 2005-06 season.

我們家的Rafer Alston在當地時間週六的訓練中,拉傷右側腹股溝肌肉,因此錯過了週日客場對多倫多暴龍的比賽。這是Alston自05-06球季以來首次因傷缺賽。

Steve Francis got the start, his first since he had a season-high 28 points last season with the Knicks in Toronto. Luther Head, who was out with the flu
Friday in New Jersey, played 11 minutes off the bench.

"I tried to explode to the rim to dunk it, and when I came down, my groin tweaked," Alston said. "That's how (Tracy McGrady) wants me to tell it. Then he tells me I had no reason to try to dunk the ball. The joke was 'Why you trying to explode to the rim. Just do your floater.'

"Something just tightened up. Keith (Jones, trainer) told me to take it off."

But McGrady did not let go.

"He was trying to dunk in practice," McGrady said. "He was trying to be like me in my old days, when I was here (Toronto)."

「他竟然想學我當年在多倫多時一樣爆扣!? XD」

Landry plays 10 minutes

Rockets rookie Carl Landry, who had played just four minutes all season, played 10 minutes off the bench, making one of six shots with seven rebounds.

"Chuck (Hayes) got two fouls, and Carl has been playing really well in practice," coach Rick Adelman said. "I thought he would give us some energy. He's been playing very well. He's very active and very quick."

James not proud

In many ways, Mike James' one season in Toronto might have been his best. With a career average of 11.5 points per game, he averaged 20.3 points and 5.8 assists in 2005-2006.

But when James, who returned to Toronto on Sunday, was asked if he thought of it as his best season, he said: "Probably not. As far as being able to showcase what kind of player I am and being able to go out there and play the game, yeah, but as far as being my best, no. Stats-wise, it was my best individual season, but as a team, it wasn't."

The Raptors went 27-55 in 2005-06, when James was traded from the Rockets to the Raptors.

James has been part of many winning teams, including the Pistons' 2003-04 championship team.

"It's definitely good memories," James said. "I enjoyed it. For the time I was here, it was definitely good times. Great city. The people are friendly. It's one of the better cities on the road, when you have a road game, to go to.

"The people are real good around the city. They're real sports fans."
